Learning Spanish while traveling through Ecuador
The traveling classroom is a unique way to combine learning Spanish while traveling through Ecuador and see all the highlights of the country. It guarantees a lot of fun and exciting adventures. This 4-week program combines four different locations across whole Ecuador.
You will spend one week at each location, here you follow Spanish classes (20 hours group Spanish)combined with a number interesting activities at each location.

First week - Quito
You start in the capital of Ecuador Quito. In this week there are amongst other things, activities like a tour to the Middle of the World (Mitad del Mundo), a biking trip to the spectacular Cotopaxi National Park, the highest active volcano in the world and a ride in the ‘Teleferico’ cable car, where you have a stunning view over Quito.
After Quito you have two options.
Second week - option a – The Amazon
In the second week you can choose between The Amazon and Cuenca. The Amazon is the largest jungle in the world with a bigger diversity of animals and plants than anywhere else in the world. In this week you will trek through the beautiful natural reserves and see the wonders of birdlife and vegetation.Enjoy a hiking tour, rafting and a visit to the indigenous communities.
Second week - option b – Cuenca
You can also choose for Cuenca in the second week, the colonial historical centre of Ecuador. Here you can enjoy and abundance of art and museums based in old colonial buildings and there are regular cultural and music events to attend. Included in this week are activities such as a city tour, a salsa class and a visit to the breath taking Ingapirca Ruins or visit architectural and natural wonders in the streets of Cuenca.
Third week – Manta
The third week takes place in the picturesque city Manta, which is located on the Pacific Ocean. Manta has beautiful beaches, the best seafood restaurants a variety bars and clubs. In this week you are going to paraglide, follow an Ecuadorian cooking class and visit the wonderful Isla de la Plata, which is known as ‘little Galapagos’.
Fourth week – Montañita
This last week will be lots of fun. Montañita is a friendly and laid-back surf town and a popular destination under both national and international tourists. It is the best destination for nightlife in Ecuador and it has the famous ‘street of cocktails. Enjoy plenty of social activities, the rainforest canopy, surfing classes and the amazing vibe with street bustling and artisans.
Other special programs
Spanish and KiteSurf
Students discover Spanish culture and learn kite boarding in one of the best places for practicing this amazing sport: Santa Marianita (just 15 minutes by car from Manta). The program includes 20 hours of Spanish lessons (individual or group) + kite boarding Basic course (8 to 10 hours – Level 1)
